Barbara Class was born in Strasbourg in 1990 and spent the first 22 years of her life in Alsace, in a small village named Westhoffen. She studied biology at the University of Strasbourg and first came to Finland in spring 2013 to do a 5 months internship on personality in blue tits at the University of Turku. After getting her masters’ degree in Ecophysiology and Ethology in Strasbourg, she came back to Turku to start her PhD on the “Evolutionary quantitative genetics of animal personality in the wild “. She defended her PhD last October and she is now doing a post-doc in Turku in the same project.
